“Thank you John and Pauline Jilbert, Sam Bailey and all residents who help to keep Denstone looking so lovely, not just for the Best Kept Village judging but throughout the year. I must also thank All Saints School for the wonderful posters they produce for the Best Kept Village and Bob Wright for putting these up throughout the village.

This year we were awarded a Highly Commended in our category with Bramshall coming first, Hoar Cross second and Kingstone third.”

Village Tidy-Up April 2013

Very many thanks to all of those people – a few of whom are pictured here – who came along and helped to tidy the village on Sunday afternoon. You all did a splendid job, and the roadsides, pavements and paths around the village now look so much better.

Please can we all help to keep the village looking tidy, now that the Best Kept Village season is almost here.
