Although Debbie’s own children are now grown up as Nursery Nurse at All Saints First School everyday Debbie sees the great need for recreational facilities for the under 10’s and is delighted that the Junior Play Area goes some way to meeting this need. 

However, Debbie’s main goal – and she has campaigned for many years on this – is to find a recreation area for the 10 to 16 year olds.  Since the opening of the Junior Play Area Debbie’s hopes have been that the continued efforts of DYF will prove fruitful in the near future.

Sarah Bentley

Sarah is a Nurse and has two sons of an age where a great deal of travelling out of the village is required to meet their recreational needs.  It is therefore Sarah’s aim to bring some of these much needed opportunities into Denstone, where not only her boys, but a great number of others will reap the benefit of social activities and sports facilities.

The Play Area on Oak Road became Denstone Youth Funds first project because a suitable piece of land became available.  It is not the end of Sarah and the team’s commitment to the village, merely a stepping stone to meet a broader need.

Denstone Youth Fund believe that the children and young people of Denstone deserve the same recreational activities as the children in Rocester, Ashbourne,and Uttoxeter. They hope you think so too.
