Denstone Village Hall

The Village Hall is a registered charity. It is run by a Management Committee composed of representatives nominated by village organisations, four elected members and up to four co-opted members. All representatives and members retire each year at the AGM, which is open to the public and held in March, and are then subject to re-election. The hall was first opened in December 1962. Significant alterations and improvements were made as a Millennium project completed in 1999.

All age groups currently use the hall. This stretches from the Monday to Friday morning use by the Pre-School Playgroup to the monthly meeting of the Tuesday Club. An Art Group, Line Dance group and Young Players also meet regularly. The Hall is also used for productions by Denstone Players.

Outside of the times occupied by regular bookings it is possible to book the hall for private parties and other functions. Current hire charges are shown. The hall does not hold a licence for the sale of alcohol so any user requiring this will need to obtain a Temporary Event Notice. The Management Committee reserve the right to refuse any booking particularly if they feel that it is likely to cause nuisance to local residents. There is an outside play area that can also be hired for children’s parties. For a full list of all hire charges please download the below file.

To make an enquiry please contact the Manager, John Etherington on 01889 590750.
